Fr. Terry Brennan was born in Akron, Ohio. He received a B.A. from Ohio State University and his J.D. at American University in Washington, DC. He worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce and private law firms in Washington, DC.
While taking a one-year sabbatical and doing volunteer work in Santa Fe, he fell in love with New Mexico’s fascinating history and Catholic heritage. He remained in Santa Fe and worked as attorney for the County prior to being called to the priesthood.
His seminary years were spent in Rome where he obtained a degree in Theology from the North American College.
Fr. Brennan served as pastor for eight Native American pueblos in Northern New Mexico. For the past 3 years, he has served as pastor for a Spanish village church and 3 Native American pueblos. He also helped to establish a charter school and a women’s drug and alcohol rehabilitation house, lodged in his former rectory, called "Sangre de Cristo House".
Fr. Brennan speaks French, Italian, Spanish, and German. He offers a Tridentine Latin Mass at the oldest church in the U.S., San Miguel Mission in Santa Fe, every Sunday.
He is also very much "in demand" as a speaker to lead retreats; thus, we are blessed to have Fr. Brennan as part our team and our exclusive Pilgrimage Chaplain.
Fr. Brennan and the Pilgrimage New Mexico team would like to welcome you to join us in New Mexico to experience a pilgrimage, retreat, or combination of the two like no other.
While on pilgrimage with us, you will truly appreciate his knowledge and deep love for New Mexico, his lively personality, and caring spirit. You are assured of a memorable journey!
